Am I the only one with a "Holiday Headache"

Merry Christmas Gabber's & Friends,

It's about 12:27am on Christmas morning and I can't go to sleep. No, I'm not awaiting Santa!! LOL.. Atleast not this year... As I finish wrapping all of my gifts, suddenly I have mixed feelings about the red and green candy cane stripped boxes and bags underneath my tree. On one hand I'm "totally siked" about all the happy faces I'll see opening Ipods, digital camera's, and indiviual toe-socks. Yet, on the other hand...I think I should say "In" the other hand there is nothing. Zip, Zero! Every Christmas I "go broke" buying gifts and tokens for family and friends. Some years I even create debt by using department store credit cards.(Of course now that I am implementing my credit card restoration plan, Department store credit card over load is out of the question)

I watch CNN as they report that America is officially in a recession, in need of unemployment benefit extensions, and another economic stimulus package and yet there seems to be no drop in holiday sales. The malls where I shop were still just as crowded as usual on Christmas eve. How much do you spend each year on presents?

So, I sit awake... wishing that Santa Clause really had purchased all these presents. I just realized that the price of Christmas is giving me a Holiday Headache

I got a hoilday headache too! In the mist of all the high prices and sucker sales that dragged people into purchasing things just because they were discounted...I was one of the suckers. I can say that I really did receive some nice gifts but I gave some nice ones as well. Where was Santa when my wallet was empty?... he should have helped me out this year with thes gifts.

This was a headache of a Christmas but I did pretty well, I bought a lot of inexpensive practical gifts for friends and family. Also that is what I received. I wanted stuff that I would not have to go out and buy in the long run. So I got cereal, contact solution, even deodorant, but I loved it now for the next few months I am stocked up with the necessities. With the bad economy I didn't want people buying me stuff that I would never use, such as bath and body works lotion, I know we all have piles of that stocked up in a closet. So hopefully this christmas was great for everyone and hopefully this new year will be better for the economy and everyone hurting this past year.

Hey Kim, Actually the christmas season is my favorite time of the year, were I actually dont mind spending alot of money for friends or family. Now of course during the rest of the year.. well dont even ask me for money. I think the reason I spend more and more every year is because each year I actually make a little bit more then before. Plus im helping the economy. So during christmas is my break from saving but the other part of the year I save as much as i can.
