6 months ago I got my first credit card. I found that Equifax.com offers a free credit report once a year. But the catch is it does not say your credit score, that cost extra.
Hey Priscilla just like you I am very excited to be a part of the Gen Y advisory board! I actually do not have a credit card i just have a debit card for my checking account. I do know that most credit cards offer rewards and gift cards for using their cards so you might want to look that up!

Sorry i'm late commenting you and posting my own blog i have dial-up internet which takes FOREVER and it literally took 2 days of trying to finally get it to let me on here. I don't know much about credit cards so far but i just applied to get one so once i get it with all the information i can help :)

I'm not sure if you all can see, but on the home page of the blog where it says, "Learn more about GEN Y and Personal Finance!" there's actually key words like "Credit, GEN Y, ID Theft, etc." If you click on one of those words, you'll see a bunch of recently published news about the topics. So, on any given day, you can visit the site and click on your key word to see what's going on in the news regarding that topic.
